Maya entered the medicine den and said, "I am. Would you like to pair up?" in response to Heypaw. Maya had been contemplating on whether she should join in or not for a few minutes, but decided that she should, and anyhow, it was a chance to make some friends. She was lacking any of those. She knew that many dreamed of becoming medicine cat someday, so the chance of her being promoted was very slim, but more knowledge of herbs would be valuable anyhow.

Everything here was so busy, Maya didn't even know where to start. She needed to make some friends, she knew that much. But it was so busy, so full of all different kinds of strange creatures, many of which she couldn't even put a name to. It wasn't at all like she was used to - but then, all she was used to was alone. And alone, she had discovered, was not a good place to be.
She took a small mouse from the fresh kill pile and sat on the sidelines, watching everyone go by. They all looked like they were in such a hurry - either that or they were just sort of hovering in the midst of it all. She glanced around, looking for someone to talk to, waiting for someone to find her.

"It's... different," Maya mewed. yes, different seemed the right word to use. "Very different. Everything's so busy, everyone's always moving around so much. Like there's always somewhere they have to be. Or they're just hovering around. I don't really know how it all works." She paused. "But I like it. It's nice to see everyone so happy, to see everyone together, working as one unit." That seemed about right. That was what she thought about this strange group of wonderful creatures living in the place it looked like she would be calling home.
She recognised the Medicine Cat, Lily, and smiled at her when she sat down, greeting her with a simple "Hello. It's nice to see you again."

Maya turned her head to the two new members of the conversation. "Hello there, I'm Maya," she greeted warmly, smiling at the both. "It's nice to meet you both." It was always good to meet new people, get to know the ones she would do her very best to protect. "How are you?"

Maya had little to do. After the sudden change of leaving her quiet, lonely life and joining the busy life of The Covenant, things were actually settling down for her. She was back in her comfort zone. But strangely enough, that wasn't where she wanted to be now. She wanted to get out, make friends, find people, maybe even someone she could force her love onto. Spotting the tuxedo sitting on the side, she smiled and padded over to her, taking a seat next to her. After moment, she said, "Hello, I'm Maya. You're Hermione, aren't you?" Maya was certain she had seen this cat before around camp.
